THROWN INTO THE SHOW
Challenge
As a global leader in innovative technology, Sony sought to showcase its new 3LF-SR1 displays, a cutting-edge product that allows for 3D viewing without any peripherals or accessories, just a screen.
Blue Pixel, a trusted partner for high-tech experiential events, was tasked with managing the overall creative and technical elements of the event.
Goal
I was brought in to aid Blue Pixel in a technical capacity: setting up the screens and converting the project files from 5 different artists to be showcased during Miami’s 2023 Art Basel.
Although my primary responsibility was figure out how to transfer and optimize the works for the displays, there was a 6th unassigned display.
Solution
After converting and optimizing the other artists’ work for the 3LF-SR1 displays, I gained a deep understanding of how to maximize the glasses-free 3D effect. I took a strategic, minimalist approach—focusing on primitive shapes that would reveal the technology in the most impactful way.
